7 colourful indoor plants for a cosy autumn home

In autumn, warm tones move indoors too. Online florist Floward (September 22) offers a selection of seven colourful indoor plants to warm up home décor.

Autumn colours all year round

The Croton Petra brings red-orange variegated leaves, the Guzmania a bright tropical accent, and the Fatsia Spiderweb its frosted foliage. The Calathea adds pattern and movement, while the Aglaonema stays a reliable pick for soft light.

Height and calm

To structure a corner, the Pachira Aquatica (money tree) brings natural warmth and height; the Peace Lily adds quiet, easy elegance and tolerates partial shade.

A simple tip: group these warm-toned plants near a window to make the most of autumn light, and ease off on watering as the days shorten.
